About Immanuel

Welcome from the Headteacher

As Headteacher, it is my privilege to lead a school community where every young person is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. My commitment is to ensure that every student has exceptional opportunities to develop academically, socially and personally, so that when they leave us, they are confident, compassionate and well-qualified young adults, ready to make a positive contribution to society.

Immanuel College is a special place to learn. As a Church of England academy and a proud member of the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT), our Christian vision is at the heart of everything we do. Grounded in our belief that every child is created and loved by God, we are committed to nurturing the unique gifts, talents and aspirations of all members of our community.

Our vision is brought to life through our core values of Perseverance, Character and Hope. These values shape the culture of our school and guide students as they navigate both the opportunities and challenges of life.

  • Perseverance teaches the importance of resilience, determination and hard work, enabling students to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
  • Character inspires our students to step forward with confidence, embrace new experiences and stand up for what is right.
  • Hope encourages them to look positively towards the future, recognising the possibilities that lie ahead and believing in their own potential.

We are proud of our inclusive community where every student is welcomed, respected and supported to succeed. Through a broad and ambitious curriculum, high expectations and outstanding pastoral care, we strive to ensure that all young people can achieve their very best.

While academic success remains a significant focus of Immanuel College, we firmly believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Our extensive programme of enrichment, leadership opportunities, service, sport, creative arts and wider experiences helps students develop character, confidence and a strong sense of responsibility towards others.

I hope our website gives you a genuine insight into the warmth, ambition and values that make Immanuel College such a special place. Whether you are a prospective student, parent, carer or member of the wider community, I warmly invite you to discover more about our school.

I look forward to welcoming you to Immanuel College.
