Out on the sports field, it was like a warzone, with everyone taking things very seriously. In the dance studio, things were quieter. I interviewed Liliana before her dance performance to ‘Run for the Hills’, which was a very emotive song choice with an equally emotive dance routine. Her performance was smooth and fluid throughout, and there was a distinct atmosphere. Also notable was Jaya’s energetic and spirited dance to ‘One Night Only’ from Dreamgirls.

Back out on the sports field, things were getting chaotic. The rounders players did not look terribly excited, and it was clear the heat was getting to them. It looked as if they had taken a bath in red ink. However, Joseph S told me, “This game has been electric so far. Nightingale (the best house) has been supportive and working hard.”

Wilberforce’s Alfie J praised Keir H for his “team-spiritedness” and “perseverance”.

Aaron D and I spoke during music class earlier today. He had volunteered to take part in the maths challenge in order to avoid maths. He said he was hoping teachers would, “…give out chocolate biscuits like in primary.” When I checked in a few hours later, he said, “There were no chocolate biscuits. What a shame.”

The end scores of the maths challenge are unfortunately unavailable as I was peer-pressured into leaving early.
