Turner Prize Exhibition
Art & Photography Trip – Turner Prize Exhibition @ Cartwright Hall
Year 12 and 13 Art and Photography students visited the Turner Prize Exhibition at Cartwright Hall on Friday 6th February. Students viewed work by the four shortlisted artists, helping to inform their own studies and deepen their understanding of British contemporary art. The visit supported Year 12 students as they continue with coursework and helped Year 13 students as they begin their exam work.
Students shared their reflections on the visit, including:
“Develop my understanding of the art world by seeing what other artists are doing.”
“Looking round the art worked as inspiration to use colours to portray different emotions in pieces.”
“Liked seeing how different artists express themselves.”
“It was cool to see how different artists use different materials to create their pieces.”
“It has been good to look at types of art I wouldn’t usually look at.”
