DSC_2784The end of March saw the return of the whole school musical! The Creative Arts faculty presented "Footloose" which included performers, musicians and backstage crew ranging from Year 7 right through to Year 13. From the 25th March to the 27th March 2025, the students involved performed to 3 sold out audiences as well as some of our local primary schools. The show was a resounding success with comments from audience members including "the best one yet!"

"We were thrilled to have been able to present this brilliant show and to bring another wonderful production to life once again!

Footloose was the latest performance in a long and well-established tradition of productions at Immanuel College, and it continued to be my privilege to lead and work alongside our talented staff and students. Footloose was added to the long list of successful productions which, more recently, included School of Rock, Shrek, and Bugsy Malone, to name but a few. The continual determination, commitment, and resilience of both staff and students enabled us to share such large-scale performances with you as we came together to showcase the immense talent of each and every student involved.

Footloose, like every show, was the culmination of seven months of rehearsals, which began back in September 2024. Throughout this extended period, staff and students collaborated to demonstrate the highest levels of ability, determination, and teamwork. I was extremely proud and honoured to work with our talented and enthusiastic staff and pupils, and we were excited to share our performance with you that evening. We were also delighted that, once again, we had an entirely student-filled band, and I was sure you would be as impressed with their talents as I was.

As always, we looked forward to building on this production, and plans began shortly afterwards for next year’s show, as well as the numerous other performances scheduled throughout the coming year. Over the following months, we had several exciting performances to share with you, and we hoped to welcome you back to school to enjoy them in due course.

Finally, the faculty would like to express how proud they are of all of the students that were involved for their commitment, hard work and enthusiasm which made the show such a success.

Thank you for your continued support, which made all our work possible.
We hope you enjoyed the show!"
