France Trip 2026
Each French trip we take has its own unique character and memorable moments. Last year, it was the Immanuel students' obsession with TikTok-style beach dances; this year, it was their determination to communicate with the locals in French. Admittedly, it was often more Franglais than French, but full marks for effort!
Other highlights included visiting a snail farm, making chocolate bars in Belgium, exploring Lille, France's most northerly major city, and taking time to pray, sing, and appreciate the ornate beauty of several magnificent cathedrals.
The students also enjoyed watching the Bastille Day fireworks on the beach. The spectacular display attracted hundreds of spectators, who were captivated by the colourful and impressive show.
According to the students, however, the highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the full day spent at Parc Astérix, one of France's most popular theme parks. Sadly, some students could only stomach one or two rides, but the majority of our Immanuel thrill-seekers embraced the challenge and enjoyed many more adrenaline-fuelled attractions.
All in all, this was a trip to remember. We are confident that our students have made many lifelong memories, and as staff, we feel privileged to have shared this wonderful experience with them.
